Vina Casas del Bosque
Casablanca Valley Casas del Bosque was founded in 1993 in the Casablanca Valley by Juan Cuneo Solari, the son of an Italian immigrant. The name Casas del Bosque means "Houses of the Woods" named after the abandoned houses in the ancient pine and poplar woods. They were the first to develop vineyards in the Casablanca Valley (245ha) and also own vineyards in the Rapel Valley (35ha), where Cabernet Sauvignon is grown on 35 year old vines.
Vina Ravanal - Colchagua Valley
Founded in 1936 by Teodoro Ravanal, Vina Ravanal is one of the oldest wine estates in the Colchagua Valley. The vineyards, located in Placilla and San José de Manantiales next to the estate, are all family owned allowing full control of viticulture and harvesting which is all done by hand. Additionally, Ravanal has the invaluable resource of vines over 100 years old in their 'Centenary Vineyards'. The exceptional terroir of the Colchagua Valley produces grapes of very high quality particularly in red wines. Careful fruit selection, judicious use of French and American oak and skilful blending, ensures excellent and complex wines. Colchagua is one of Chiles oldest, most reputable and well known wine regions located between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes Mountains and perfectly suited for fine wine production due to its excellent natural conditions.
